On November 5, 2011, Chinese President Hu Jintao returned to Beijing after paying a state visit to Austria and attending the sixth summit of the Group of Twenty (G20) in Cannes, France.

Hu's entourage including his wife Liu Yongqing, Vice Premier Wang Qishan, Ling Jihua, member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, Wang Huning, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee, and State Councilor Dai Bingguo arrived by the same plane.
