NANNING, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- A senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) met on Sunday with Timor-Leste President Jose Ramos- Horta and Laotian Vice President Bounnang Vorachit, respectively, and said that China is ready to work with the two Asian nations to score achievements to benefit their peoples.
When meeting with Bounnang, Zhou recalled his visit to Laos last month, noting that he was impressed during the visit by such high political mutual trust and friendship between the two nations and their peoples.
China and Laos share a solid foundation, huge potential and the prospect for pragmatic cooperation in many fields, Zhou said, calling on the two nations to further implement the agreements signed between the two nations into concrete actions.
Bounnang expressed his gratitude to China for its long-term support for Laos, pledging the country's commitment to further develop ties with China.
Zhou met the guests prior to his attendance to the opening ceremony of a special conference of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) held in Nanning, capital city of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The conference was held under the theme,"Development and People's Access: Deliver the Fruits of Development to the People".
