Twenty-one-year-old Tajik student Jonibek Ismoilov studies intelligent mapping at a Tianjin vocational college. He is among the first batch under the 2+2 Luban Workshop joint program, mastering surveying gear and new energy systems. Launched in 2022 by Tianjin and Tajik Technical University, the workshop delivers hands-on technical training for local youth.

Over 2,900 Tajik students have benefited from the four-year workshop, with two-way teacher exchanges and enterprise partnerships boosting training quality. It acts as a vital people-to-people link between China and Tajikistan, nurturing skilled Belt and Road craftsmen to advance Tajikistan's infrastructure development.
