Participants at the 2026 International Symposium on Intellectual Property and Traditional Cultural Expressions noted China's practices in folklore protection offer valuable global references. Held in Fuzhou, the event drew nearly 400 guests from WIPO and over 30 countries and regions. Foreign delegates visited local heritage sites and praised China's full-chain IP service model. They agreed protection and commercialization reinforce each other, stressing IP safeguards should stop unauthorized use while letting living traditional culture evolve and create new value.
