The world's largest China-developed pile-driving ship left Jiangsu Province on Sunday for Brazil to build the Salvador-Itaparica Bridge, Latin America's largest cross-sea cable-stayed bridge. Boasting top-tier technical parameters, the vessel can handle tough deep-water marine conditions. It will sail for about 45 days before arrival. Once finished, the bridge will cut local travel time sharply and speed up goods transport. Undertaken by Chinese firms, the project marks a major example of China-Brazil infrastructure cooperation.
