A new report released at the ongoing fifth Global Digital Trade Expo in Hangzhou says AI has become a new growth driver for China-Africa economic and trade cooperation. AI cooperation covers disaster prevention, healthcare, smart agriculture and urban governance. Practical projects such as the Mazu weather warning system have been put into use in African nations. In 2025, China-Africa trade rose 17.7 percent year-on-year to 348 billion US dollars, showing robust bilateral economic growth.
